Hearts & Souls is pleased to fund the Phase III exercise sessions that are part of the cardiac rehabilitation programme. Without the generosity of our supporters, these vital activities simply would not take place.
These sessions are led by a nurse and a clinical exercise specialist with cardiac training. They take place several times a week at various venues. These classes are strictly by invitation only and are only available to patients after a clinical review and assessment.
There are a choice of times and venues so patients can choose when and where they would like to attend. Spaces are strictly limited and need to be booked with the rehab team in advance. It’s really important that patients attend or let the team know if they are unable to be there. You can download the list of Phase III Venues here.
About the Phase IV exercise sessions
Naturally, we want all patients to keep healthy after they have completed the rehab programme. Active Hearts also runs Phase IV exercise sessions on every weekday at various venues in Buckinghamshire. These are led by clinical exercise specialists with cardiac training. There are gym sessions like the Phase III exercise sessions and also circuits, which offer more varied types of exercise. There are assisted sessions for people with mobility problems, too. On completing the cardiac rehabilitation programme, patients receive information about these sessions from the Active Hearts team, which you can download here. Hearts & Souls, alas, is not able to fund these sessions. Charges vary according to the venue but are kept as reasonable as possible. For information on times and venues for these classes, please contact the Ward 4A team on 01494 734291.
